Welcome to the NAR Level 3 page!

Receiving your Level 3 is the pinnacle of achievement in your certification process. Large, powerful rockets powered by M class motors require new construction techniques and methods. As in any area of rocketry, the exact way to do things does not exist. Many different designs, construction methods and motor types have been used to achieve success. The most important thing you can do before you start is to get a good idea of what you would like to accomplish and gather data to help you achieve your results. More than any other level, Level 3 requires complete attention to details and mitigation of failure. Safety should be your number one concern.

This page is a summary of the information you will need to get started in this process. Along with some very general information, you can also use my attempt at Level 3 certification as a guide to get you started. If you would like, you can skip the construction information and simply view the launch report. You will also find links to the formal certification process on the NAR site as well as some very interesting user sites.
